Working Principle

When the external circuit through the brush to energize the winding winding, it produces a magnetic field, so that the claw pole is magnetized to N pole and S pole. When the rotor rotates, the magnetic flux alternately changes in the stator winding, according to the electromagnetic induction principle, the stator of the three-phase winding will produce alternating induced electromotive force. This is the principle of alternator power generation.
The synchronous generator rotor is driven by the prime mover (ie, the engine) to rotate the DC excitation. Rotation is rotated by n (rpm), and the three-phase stator winding senses the AC potential. If the stator is connected to the load, the motor will have the AC power output. After the rectifier bridge inside the generator converts the AC power into DC output from the output terminal.

Structure Introduction

The alternator is divided into two parts: stator winding and rotor winding. The three-phase stator windings are distributed on the shell according to the electrical angle of 120 degrees. The rotor windings are composed of two pole claws. When the rotor winding is connected to DC power is excited, two pole claws formed N pole and S pole. Magnetic lines of force from the N pole, through the air gap into the stator core and then back to the adjacent S pole. Once the rotor rotates, the rotor winding will cut the magnetic field lines, in the stator winding to produce a difference of 120 degrees electrical angle of the sinusoidal electromotive force, that is, three-phase alternating current, and then through the diode rectifier components into DC output
